----------Team New Hampshire's Letterboxing Tales----------

Team New Hampshire is a team of 5. First there is my beautiful partner in crime, Sarah. Next are her 2 sons, Billy and Elijah. Then there is our son, Levi. And finally there is me, David. We live in the most wondefullest state in the country, New Hampshire. The "Live Free or Die" state. We started letterboxing in August of 2005 and we love every minute of it.

Happy Halloween!

It was a dark moon lit night. The wind whisping through the trees, picking up leaves and tossing them around like snow in a blizzard. The streets where dark and all that could be seen were 5 pumpkins on the front porch. There were 3 of us that night, Billy, Elijah and I. We had drivin for what seems to be miles and have now found the place, 40 Mockingbird Lane. All of us tired from the ride, get out of our vehicle and start for the front porch when.....
"Hello!" speaks a female voice from the darkness of the front yard.
The person introduced herself as being the one and only Cape Cod Lightning Bug. She told us of our quest to find 13 boxes and then left us to ourselves. With a black light in hand, we started our journey. We found bugs and skulls, tomb stones and ghosts and bats. But there was nothing scarier than the talking tree that wasn't really that scary, but it just wouldn't shut up. I mean, just imagine sitting with your Grandmother and have her tell you the same thing over and over and over. Oh geez, sorry. Well it was scary nonetheless. We found ourselves stuck with only 10 boxes when we decided to split up. Not the best thing to do when it is a dark and scary night, but we did anyhow. If we were ever to leave, we had to split up. We found box 11, and then 12, and then finally box 13. Our Journey was just about over. Suddenly the female voice spoke again.
"How are we doing out here?" she spoke.
She was coming towards us rustling leaves as she did.
"We have completed our journey," I replied. "and we would like to go home now."
After some convincing, she had become kind enough to let us go on our way back to where we came. But only on one condition.
She said "Have a safe ride home, tell your friends, and make sure you come back again."
With that, we ran to our vehicle and jumped in. Started up the vehicle and sped away as fast as we could. we thought, out of all the adventures we have ever been on, this one was the scariest. We will definately be back.
