15 Minutes with Robin Williams

It was just the other day that I thought it would be nice to talk to someone I have never met in my entire life. What better person than the one and only Robin Williams. I called him up and after a few trys, he finally allowed me to ask him a few questions. These are only a few questions he was willing to answer for me.

In all your acting roles, which do you believe was the role you most enjoyed?

Well my boy, I would have to say Mrs. Doubtfire. As a child, I had always wondered what it would be like to be a women. To put on a dress just like Grandma Williams wore, stockings like the cafeteria lady way back in high school, and to burn my chest over the stove just like my mom used to do while cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

Who do you think, you had the most fun working beside?

Henry Winkler. What some of you may not know, I was in 2 episodes of Happy days. I would enjoy hanging out with the Fonz! Hey! Of course the reason I was only on the show for 2 episodes is because I wouldn't stop saying Henry's lines. Hey!

Now I understand that you were considered for the role of Frank in Little Miss Sunshine. Why did you turn it down?

Because I was an idiot. I was doing a movie called Man of the Year at the time. Who in thier right mind would turn down a movie that made tons and tons of money at the theater. I have been in movies that have made millions of dollars and movies that make monkeys throw crap at each other. You know, there comes a time in every actors life, when you look at yourself in the mirror and pick your nose. That time came last night.

Before we got off the phone with each other, he had told me about some of the better times he had as an actor and a comedian. He passion is to made people laugh he said. Nothing in this world makes him feel better than making people laugh. He told me of a movie he is currently working on, but never mentioned the name. As the converstaion drew to an end, he had suggested that I call him again sometime. I told him I don't think so and hung up the phone.
